Clear Light System - Debut EP OUT NOW
Clear Light System is the collaborative project of Philipp (Latchkey Kid) and Thomas Scholz – two artists united by their shared passion for analog Detroit house and techno.
Philipp has been an integral part of the electronic music scene for over 15 years and is a driving force behind Leipzig’s Analog Jam Session. In 2024, he released his debut EP Dogwalker on the session’s imprint.
Thomas Scholz is no stranger to the scene either: alongside two EPs on Filburt’s label ORS, his discography includes releases on Turnbeutel (Oliver Schories), as well as collaborations with artists like Micronaut, K-Paul and Rampue. His signature sound is defined by the use of guitar – adding a warm, organic layer to electronic music through clear and memorable melodies.
As Clear Light System, the duo produced three tracks in a Leipzig studio that deliberately channel the aesthetic of classic house productions – raw, analog, and emotionally charged.
The EP is complemented by remixes from Kawari and The Micronaut.
The Hell Or High Water EP is released as a collaboration between ORS and the label All My Ghosts.
Clear Light System ist das Gemeinschaftsprojekt von Philipp (Latchkey Kid) und Thomas Scholz – zwei Künstlern, die ihre gemeinsame Leidenschaft für analogen Detroit House und Techno verbindet.
Philipp ist seit über 15 Jahren ein fester Bestandteil der elektronischen Musikszene und eine treibende Kraft hinter der Leipziger Analog Jam Session. Im Jahr 2024 veröffentlichte er seine Debüt-EP „Dogwalker“.
Auch Thomas Scholz ist in der Szene kein Unbekannter: Neben zwei EPs auf Filburts Label ORS umfasst seine Diskografie Veröffentlichungen auf Turnbeutel (Oliver Schories) sowie Kollaborationen mit Künstlern wie Micronaut, K-Paul und Rampue. Sein charakteristischer Sound zeichnet sich durch den Einsatz von Gitarre aus – er verleiht der elektronischen Musik durch klare und einprägsame Melodien eine warme, organische Note.
Als Clear Light System hat das Duo drei Tracks produziert, die bewusst die Ästhetik klassischer House-Produktionen aufgreifen – roh, analog und emotional aufgeladen.
Ergänzt wird die EP durch Remixe von Kawari und The Micronaut.
Die „Hell Or High Water“-EP erscheint als Zusammenarbeit zwischen ORS und dem Label All My Ghosts.
